acrylic on acrylic 2022 12" x 12" acrylic on plexiglass A series of paintings that are painted in reverse order on the rear side of a sheet of plexiglass. what is painted first becomes the foreground image, and subsequent layers become the background. Sometimes I use a sharp object to scratch off some pain and then apply another layer of paint. The new color that shows through these cracks becomes the new foreground. The final painting is always a bit of a surprise as it is hard to predict how the layers will interact in the final image. back to gallery |
